Course overview

Practical and theoretical course:

  • The purpose of this academic program is for participants to apply their prior theoretical knowledge and training in the specialty of orthodontics to the resolution of real clinical cases in patients, supervised by specialists with recognized clinical and academic experience, who will guide them in mastering orthodontic philosophical principles so they can then be easily applied in their daily clinical practice.


Course objectives:

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Manage current and effective protocols for diagnosis and treatment planning in orthodontics.
  • Increase and perfect knowledge in facial analysis, craniofacial growth, and malocclusion development.
  • Know and practically master facial analysis and photographic analysis (extraoral and intraoral).
  • Interpret panoramic and lateral skull x-rays and perform necessary cephalometric analyses.
  • Understand and apply theoretical foundations in patient treatment, including orthodontic tooth movement.
  • Know fundamental principles of biomechanics in orthodontics for efficient treatment.
  • Confidently handle current techniques in placing brackets (ligating and self-ligating).
  • Understand and properly use different types of archwires: SS, Nitinol, Copernitinol, TMA.
  • Understand the use and indications of elastomers and springs.
  • Gain confidence in aligner treatments, including attachment placement and progressive adjustments.
  • Perform procedures directly on patients: bracket placement/removal, archwire installation, elastomers, springs, etc.

  Important information

  • It is very important to register at least 2 months in advance. Our instructors need time to select patients and clinical histories.
  • The Health Ministry of Peru requires:
  • Completed registration form
  • A color copy of your passport 
  • A copy of your Dental degree
  • A copy of specialization if applicable
  • A copy of your registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Curriculum vitae
  • A 50% deposit is required when you register and the remaining 50% must be paid one month before starting the course.
  • If the course is canceled by us, 100% of the money will be refunded.
  • If you cancel the course, only 50% of the deposited amount will be refunded.
  • International airline tickets not included.
  • It is the responsibility of each participant to manage the necessary visas, insurance, and permits to enter Peru.
  • In case of emergency, it is the responsibility of each participant to contact the corresponding authorities and insurance providers.

Ticket information

  • 8 May 2026 from Lima to Cusco: leaving at 5:00 am, arriving at 6:20 am
  • 11 May 2026 from Cusco to Lima: leaving at 14:25 pm, arriving at 15:55 pm


CUSCO DAY 1: CUSCO IN + CITY TOUR 

  • Arrive at Cusco city, welcome and transportation to the hotel. Resting and acclimatising to the weather and altitude.
  • 14:30 pm: Qoricancha tour, temple of the Sun and main ceremonial place of the Inca Empire. Santo Domingo convent (combination of Inca and colonial architecture). 
  • Sacsayhuaman archaeological complex: here you will get the best view of Cusco city. Qenko (ceremonial and sacrificial site), Pucapucara (the red stone: military Inca site).
  • Tea Break drinking a delicious Inca tea and snack
  • TamboMachay: the Inca fountain.
  • Return to the hotel


CUSCO DAY 2: SACRED VALLEY 

  • Breakfast: 08:30 am. Sacred Valley of the Incas tour. Pisac town tour, Ccoya, Lamay and Urubamba towns.
  • Buffet lunch.
  • Ollantaytambo tour.
  • Chincheros tour.
  • Return to the hotel


CUSCO DAY 3: MACHU PICCHU (one of the 7 wonders of the world) 

  • Breakfast in the hotel (Cusco).
  • Transportation to the train station. 
  • Train to Aguas calientes, the town at the entrance of Machu Picchu.
  • Short bus trip from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu.
  • 2 hours of guided tour in the impressive city of Machu Picchu.
  • Your will be able to enjoy the incomparable view and magic of Machu Picchu.
  • Bus trip back to Aguas calientes.
  • Lunch at Aguas calientes.
  • Train back to Ollantaytambo.
  • Transportation back to hotel in Cusco.


CUSCO DAY 4: BACK TO LIMA 

  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • Transportation to airport to take the flight back to Lima
